LonMark task groups provide a forum for member companies to discuss and develop application-specific design requirements. The LonMark task groups focus primarily on technical issues related to developing interoperable products for particular applications. One important area for discussion within the task groups is the ongoing development of LonMark functional profiles that specify the standard LonMark network interface for specific control functions. Progress within the task groups is rapid, with proposals reaching approval in months rather than years. LonMark members may participate in any task groups of interest. Only members may review and comment on proposals.
