As the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, LIGHTFAIR® INTERNATIONAL blended continuing education courses with innovative products ranging from high-end design to cutting-edge technology. LonMark International exhibited at the Echelon booth 2528 in the Building Integration section. 

The fair is used by manufacturers from over 50 countries, including all market leaders, to launch trends and innovations from the fields of lighting, electrical engineering and building automation. There was a unique range of products and services at this year's Light+Building in Frankfurt. The LonMark Germany / LonMark International booth was at Hall 9.0 E10. 

Globalcon 2010 was designed specifically to facilitate those who need to get up to speed on the latest developments in the energy field, explore promising new technologies, compare energy supply options, and learn about innovative and cost-conscious project implementation strategies. 

The conference comprised a key note speech and four individual topic tracks with numerous related lectures covering:

This was the annual LonMark International General Meeting followed by the traditional reception of appetizers (hors d’œuvre) beverages, and community camaraderie. This was in conjunction with LONCOM 2009. 

Also, in order to address the interests and needs of the large number of U.S. government professionals who traditionally attend WEEC, AEE will again offer a section of the program known as FEMWorks 2009. First introduced as part of the 2006 WEEC agenda, this special multi-track portion of the WEEC conference will include a comprehensive series of workshops for federal energy managers.

Background:

Through the United States' Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007, the US National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) is tasked with "primary responsibility to coordinate development of a framework that includes protocols and model standards for information management to achieve interoperability of smart grid devices and systems" - from generation to end use.
