LonMark Announces Two New Board Members

San Jose, November 1, 2007 - LONMARK International, a non-profit trade association, which creates, supports, promotes, and certifies the standards for open, interoperable LON-based products and systems, is pleased to announce the recent addition of two new members to its Board of Directors:

Thomas Knoop, Program Manager Lighting Controls at Philips Lighting B.V. in the Netherlands, replaced Joël Thomé, ITM Manager, also from Philips Lighting B.V. in early October, 2007.

Mr. Thome has been a long time board member and has recently taken on a new role at Philips. LONMARK wishes him well and look forward to having Mr. Knoop join the team.

Mr. Knoop is involved with Philips’ streetlighting efforts, and will help LONMARK develop standards and focus in this emerging market.

Jan Brissman, Technology Manager at TAC in Sweden, replaced Wayne Lambert, VP of Systems Product Division and Market & Business Development at TAC in Massachusetts, US.

Mr. Lambert has also been a long time board member helping see the organization through many changes. His enthusiasm and commitment were part of the key to its success.

Jan Brissman’s role at the Board of Directors was initially a temporary position; however, Mr. Brissman recently accepted the position on a permanent basis. He has been a critical member of the technical standards development team, and his input on the board will be invaluable.

“In my new position as a LONMARK board member, I am very excited about the opportunity to be directly involved in the development and direction of the LONMARK technology. Many of the people I have met possess a tremendous amount of knowledge and ideas, which gives me confidence that even greater things can be accomplished,” says Jan Brissman.

“These are very exciting times for LONMARK International as we are working on increasing global awareness of green building processes and renewable energy technologies, and I am certain that we will take full advantage of the wealth of experience both Thomas and Jan will bring to LONMARK. I am delighted that both have accepted these positions,” says Ron Bernstein, Executive Director of LONMARK International.
