LonMark Co-Hosts Green Conference

LONMARK International to Co-Host Green Intelligent Buildings Conference in Baltimore, April 2-3, 2008

February 27, 2008 – San Jose, CA – LonMark International (LMI), a non-profit trade association recognized as the industry authority for certification, education, and promotion of interoperability standards for the benefit of manufacturers, integrators, and end users is proud to announce that it will be co-hosting the upcoming Green Intelligent Buildings Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.

Engineering Systems, a monthly magazine under the BNP Media umbrella, is partnering with LonMark International in an effort to bring the latest in green, energy efficient control system design to a targeted audience of building owners, developers, and facility managers, as well as mechanical, electrical, and operating engineers.

This must-attend 2-day conference will provide the attendees with the most current information on methods how to better design and operate facilities, including the delivery of more energy efficient and intelligent buildings.

During the two full days of engaging and educational seminars, over 30 experts will address up-to-the-minute topics such as:

  • The Role of Controls in Green & Sustainable Buildings
  • Master Planning - The Value of a Whole Building Approach to Automation
  • Case Studies of Intelligent and Integrated Projects
  • Emerging Technology
  • Lighting Control
  • How is Intelligence in Buildings Measured and Benchmarked?
  • Maintaining Building Intelligence
  • Energy and Demand Response

The conference will commence with a compelling keynote, “Impact of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007”, directly followed by a short series of workshops on the subject of intelligent buildings and sustainability by market sector, before proceeding to  the seminars.

This prime networking event will also feature a reception area with table top displays, which will showcase the latest products and services from nearly 20 industry leaders.

In addition to the busy two-day conference schedule, on Tuesday, April 1, LonMark International will hold its semi-annual Board Meeting, as well as offering a full day of training in preparation for the LonMark Professional Certified Test, which will be offered on Wednesday, April 2 at 2:30pm.
