LonMark International and Members to Showcase Smart City Concept and Ecosystem at Light + Building 2018

WHEN: March 18 to 23, 2018

LonMark International and members will be located in the Urban Lighting section located in Hall 5.0 D29. In addition, LonMark Germany will have a stand in Hall 9.1-D60

WHAT: LonMark International, a non-profit corporation supporting the testing and certification of products, people and companies supporting the ISO/IEC 14908 body of control networking standards.

Please join us on Tuesday, March 20 in Hall 5.0-D29 from 16.00 -17.00 for a press conference. Several new technologies have been introduced by LonMark and will shortly become new international standards furthering the ability of markets to embrace open interoperable LonMark standards for intelligent control networking. In addition, several very positive initiatives have been initiated to create an even stronger global organization.  The conference agenda includes speakers from LonMark International, who, MegaChips, and Vossloh-Schwabe. A demonstration and presentation by exhibitors and a light reception to follow. If you can attend please confirm to henny@lonmark.org. LonMark executives will be in attendance for press meetings.

In Hall 5.0 D29,  LonMark International with members from its Smart Cities Council formed to address the needs of smart city planners, managers, and solution providers, will expand its presence at this year’s exhibit by showcasing a smart city concept to demonstrate:

  • An RF based solution
  • A LON High-Definition Power Line Communication (HD-PLC) transceiver
  • Smart city applications using smart sensors, EV charging system, video systems and more that fulfill the needs of smart street lighting and also provide the opportunity for applications in a smart city.

 

In addition in Hall 9.1-D60, LonMark Germany will highlight Open Building Automation with a technology and presentation area. Speakers to include: Jörg Schneck (Vossloh Schwabe), Michael Ng (Amko), Michael Navid (MegaChips), Hartmut Quast (who mBH) and Ron Bernstein (LonMark International).

LonMark Germany will give a presentation about the growth and opportunities for LonMark in the region. This will be an opportunity for participants to hear from the LonMark Germany Board members about new advancements within LonMark.
