LonMark - Guides & Specifications

Resource files contain definitions of functional profiles, network variables types, configuration property types, and enumerations. The standard, LonMark resource files contain definitions of standard functional profiles templates (SFPTs), standard network variable types (SNVTs), standard configuration property types (SCPTs), and standard enumerations. The installers for such also include the API DLLs with documentation. See LonMark Functional Profiles for documentation of the standard functional profiles included in the standard resource files.

LonMarkResourceFiles1302.exe (9.59 MB, updated 2008-01-01) See below for non-beta release	The most-recent release (beta) of the LonMark Resource Files (LMRFs). Includes all of the machine-readable, version 13.02 (beta), 13.01 (alpha), and 13.00 SNVTs, SCPTs, Enums, and SFPTs that form the basic building blocks of a LonMark certified device; and the Resource File API, revision 2.3 run-time files—all in one, convenient executable that ensures the proper placement of files, backup of existing FMT files, and setting of paths and version numbers in the Microsoft Windows® OS Registry. Tested for use with the Windows Vista™ OS. The installer also contains the various Master Lists in PDF format: Note, however that the PDF versions are not presently downloadable separately from the installer but they will be available as a separate download soon. For more information about the content of this installer, please see the ReadMe.htm file. If you need only to view a few types, try the Online Resource Files. If you are looking for the Developer's Kit version, look no further… This one installation handles the needs of Integrators and End Users, plus offers the option of installing the header files that Developers need. Known Issues with 13.02 beta: STANDARD.FMT: Because of the quantity of new Formats, the new STANDARD.FMT file will not work with Echelon's LonMaker prior to version 3.13 SP 2. Workaround: upgrade LonMaker installation to version 3.13 SP 2 or later; or use v13.00 STANDARD.FMT file; or remove unneeded Formats from the v13.02 file. ________________________________________ PDF Files: No bookmarks. Workaround: use PDF Search function. ________________________________________ PDF Files: SNVT_dev_status, SNVT_dev_fault, and SNVT_dev_maint tables are off their pages and unreadable. This online collection comprises all of the machine-readable SNVTs, SCPTs, Enums, and SFPTs that form the basic building blocks of a LonMark certified device. This collection is available online for browsing and easy cross-referencing.

Resource Editor
ResEdit40032.exe * (37.2 MB, updated 2009-05-27)	The Windows utility used to create, edit, convert, and view resource files. This is a standalone version of the resource editor that is included with several of Echelon Corporation's products. * This version is licensed for use by LonMark members only. LonMark members must be logged into the Members Area to download this file.

Format File Converter
FmtConv.zip (74k)	A utility to convert version 3 LonMark format files to conform to the version 2 specification for format files. The version 3 specification for format files added support for localized formats, where the formatting is determined by the operating system's regional settings. Download this utility only if you are using a tool that does not support the version 3 specification for format files.

Resource File Aplication Programming Interface (for porting)
RFAPI230.zip (683k, updated 2003-06-18)	The current release of the LonMark Resource File API for porting. Need to port the read-only API interface to a non- Windows OS platform? All the header files are still available in this separate ZIP archive. Includes Windows DLL libraries for reading and writing version 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 resource files. Also includes ANSI C source code for reading version 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 resource files. Download this API only if you need to port the API to another platform. All run-time, Windows DLL API libraries are installed with the 12.00, 12.11, and 13.00 LonMark Resource Files' installers. See the RFAPI1230ReadMe.txt for additional information.
