MSA Safety designs and manufactures protocol translators. The FieldServer protocol translator enables different devices and networks to interface to each other. FieldServer gateways enable non-LonWorks® devices to interface to the LonWorks network providing an extension of the LonWorks system to a wide range of devices in both industrial and the building automation industries. The extensive library of drivers available for the FieldServer makes it easy for the user to interface new devices to their LonWorks network. In the building automation industry FieldServer drivers enable interface to such devices as boilers, chillers, energy management systems, fire alarm systems and more. The FieldServer Gateway has helped many integrators achieve the interoperability goals set by the user.
